The Website contains the research of Wolfgang Altfahrt as an ever-growing list of historical playing card makers in the Austrian Monarchy. It was first introduced to the world wide web on the TALON website in the german language. This version is revised, expanded and up to date with the latest research.

On this site you will find:

Biographies of playing card makers arranged by territories and cities (with those territories not yet available in an italic font),

Privileges (patents) granted to playing card manufacturers in Austria in the 19th century (with the original abstracts in German and translation into English),

Family connections:
— Family trees of selected families of playing card manufacturers who were active in the Austrian Monarchy (across cities and countries)
— ownership succession of particular workshops in selected cities.
