Remark:
Kaiser was not a playing card manufacturer in the true sense; he was originally a bookbinder, then a publisher and dealer of paper goods (including a reseller of playing cards), and later a lithographic printer who published his own prints and also printed illustrations for playing cards on commission, which were then completed by a playing card factory.
